Autumn is hands down my favourite season, the smells, the crisp air, the leaves, the textures, the colours, oh my Gosh the colours!!! However, before I completely give in to browns, greens, rusts and mustards, I thought I’d give pastels a go, as I’m a true believer that pink, lilac and mint green can really work in every season!
Another gorgeous dress packed up for the holidays was this amazing one shoulder, pastel striped, frill detail, natural fibres, midi sundress from Asosย still available and on sale for petite frames!!
When I think summer holiday, I think loose floaty dresses, so when I found this Topshop Dressย that also had a gorgeous pattern on the right kind of red (if you know what I mean :)), it was love at first sight!
I love vintage as much as I love new & contemporary, and the launch of Dottie’s Artisan Gelato & Vintage Tea Roomย was the perfect choice for a day out on a sunny Bank Holiday weekend!
Hubby and I both had quite a bit of time off and on Saturday night we had dinner with some friends with a few Porn Star Martinis (did you know there’s no Martini in those?!?! :)), on Sunday we had an Italian lunch date at Bella Italia in York, where amazingly enough they started to play our wedding song as soon as we walked through the door (That’s Amore), then watched Beauty and the Beast at The View while eating, and I kid you not, a bucket of sweet popcorn, and on Monday we went for a walk in York and lunch at the Starr in The City.
Sounds like a holiday in two days for us! haha
Anyway, today’s outfit is a mixture of all sorts of textures I love to no end, the gorgeous lacy back of this white jumper from Molly Browns, a shop I only discovered because I dared to tap this gorgeous girl on the shoulder while waiting to return something in Next, just cause I had to find that where that top was from! ๐ Do you do that? ๐
The mom embroidered jeans are from Topshop they are so comfy and chic, I would wear them all the time if I could wear casual outfits at work, where I am most of the time! ๐ I saw them in a version with yellow flowers on a blogger and fell in love but just could not find those colours anywhere! These are no second best though, they are perfect and go with everything!
The outfit would have been incomplete without a variety of pink accessories, like the cutest chuck taylor all star Converse, my beautiful SS17 shopper bag from Accessorize and the softest, sadly now out of stock scarf from Mint Velvet. And let’s not forget the vintage looking pink framed sunglasses from Topshop! ๐
Hope you’ve had a lovely long weekend and a Happy Easter, next bank holiday is right around the corner so hang in there! ๐
Already miss those gorgeous daffodils and the happy vibes they brought with them!
Spring always makes me want to start fresh with all sorts, the sunshine, the daffodils, the emerging green and blossom everywhere! ๐
So here I am, brining life back into this little corner of the world, with loads of new plans but same busy (if not busier) schedule so will try and take it one step at the time and improve this area as I go!
Spring and pastels always go hand in hand for me, so have based this outfit around a cute embroidered striped shirt from Miss Selfridge at Asos which has an open back and is made out of a very light fabric which would make it perfect for a beach coverup as well!
These Asos high waisted jeans are my favourite pair ever for the cutest bow and frill detail and have found my staple shopping/work bag for the SS17 with loads of room and stunning embroidered details at Accessorize.
Have a feeling will be living in Converse this year but I don’t plan to fight it! I mean when you found comfort and chicness, why mess with it, right? ๐
Photo were take at The Wall in York, stunning area if you fancy a trip to North Yorkshire!
Hope you’re all enjoying the long weekend and have Happy Easter!
