If you are looking for something creative, fun, relaxing, useful and with the potential of being a boozy, laughter filled, girls night out, well look no further than Pottery Painting! 🙂

I have discovered this due to a friend who invited me at a ladies evening event, and have been addicted ever since! My local establishment is called Peagreen Pottery and it is run by the lovely Zoe! You should have a look around your area, I’m sure you’ll find your own Zoe and you’ll never look back! 🙂

The possibilities are endless and what you can create and who you can enjoy the experience with, from your boyfriend, to your girls or your little ones!

There are countless items you can choose from on a normal day, and even more if there’s a holiday around the corner, and they range from £5 up to £25. That’s all you pay at the end of the session, and you get all your paints and utensils (brushes, stencils, etc) included, all you have to do is show up with a bit of entertainment (like biscuits and maybe something to drink to keep the laughs going if you’re with your ladies :)) and you can be there as long as you like during the day, or if you’re going for a ladies evening, it starts at 7pm and you can be there until 9 or 10pm.

Armed with the essentials :), the last time I went, I really wanted to give Halloween a go for the first time ever, so with all these ideas in my head on how to maybe decorate a table and my fireplace, I have chosen a little trinket box in the shape of a pumpkin and a mug, of course (some of you might not know, but I have a thing about collecting mugs, to hubby’s absolute despair lol), again in the shape of a pumpkin, and off I went on an orange daze, giving colour to my lovely and useful Halloween ‘decorations’!

This is what I had to show for at the end of the evening :), there are some techniques which you will pick as soon as you get started and improve on as you get into a routine, but one of them, if you want to get a strong colour, you have to apply 3 coats of paint. At the end of the day, you hand your items back to your own Zoe :), and collect them in about a week, after they have been fired up.

And the end result… 🙂

Hope you are convinced to give it a try, I have to look into booking my Christmas dates! 🙂 And if you’re local, Zoe is offering a bit of a special treat for the next ladies evening, it is a Gin Themed Event on the 10th November, so don’t miss out, book your seat now! 🙂

Hope you have a lovely Sunday, a very Happy Halloween and the best week ever! 🙂

Don’t forget to check out next week’s posts, there will be some Autumn crafting happening! 🙂

Until we meet again,

All my love,

D

xoxo
