Whenever I wear paisley, which I adore, I get mixed reactions from people, which is why I can never tell whether paisley’s acceptable or not! 🙂
That being said, I have always been of the opinion that you should wear whatever makes you happy and stay true to yourself, therefore paisley will always tick my box! 🙂
This autumnal little number is from Asos and I have paired it with my mustard knitted tights from H&M, leopard loafers from Next and the best buy in ages when it comes to bags, this gorgeous vintage brown satchel from Accessorize that was only £25.00!!!!! 🙂
As the weather is turning colder by the day, I am trying to get away with wearing short sleeves as long as I can 🙂 but I must admit I am looking forward to pulling out all the coats in my wardrobe and happily await the magic that is the first snowfall of the year. 🙂
So, November is here and the weather is as mild as I’ve ever known it this time of year!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m really not complaining as this allows me to carry on wearing gorgeous dresses like this Zara number less than 2 months away from Christmas! 🙂
I have been a Zara addict for years and it is definitely the brand I refer to whenever I want a city chic, classic with a twist look.
This floral dress on a navy blue background, is body hugging in all the right places and definitely flatters curvier shapes.
It has loads of things going for it like the fact that it offers a little peek of the back and it has front pockets, but the major positive I would like to mention is that it dries over night and requires no ironing!!! 🙂
This dress from The Whitepepper has a classic straight shift shape and will work for most body shapes (I’m living proof :)) and it comes in black as well! 🙂
The Urban Outfitters shoes are autumn/winter delicious in their berry color 🙂 and my new Accessorize bag works beautiful autumn colors with a subtle insert of tartan, and it comes with a shoulder strap.
During this summer I have become infatuated with all things vintage, and attended quite a few Vintage Fairs around North Yorkshire.
This outfit post has absolutely nothing to do with anything vintage :), but it was while trying to find a Sailor Girl dress for one of the Vintage Fairs I attended, that I stumbled upon what now has become one of my go to sites for unique style, The Whitepepper.
Smock dresses have become such a staple mark in fashion this year, and The Whitepepper are experts when it comes to this style! 🙂
The Angel Dress is one of their most recognizable designs and it comes in a variety of colors.
Despite its deceiving simplicity in appearance, it is quite versatile in the fact that it allows for an endless supply of accessories that can create a new look every time, making it easy to carry your favorite summer dress with ease into the autumn/winter season.
Here I have accessorized my White Angel Dress with a black floppy hat and black heels from Topshop, and for a naughty twist :), Asos animal print tights.
You can now check out The Whitepepper’s new collection by following this link WINTER ’13 – it’s stunning! 🙂 And my Pink Angel Dress is in the post! Eeeeek! 🙂
For the last couple of months, all fashion magazines had at least one feature on the coats to have this A/W season, and regardless of what different shape or color they favored, the overall conclusion was that if you have to buy just one thing for the new season, then that has to be The Statement Pink Coat.
What a brilliant conclusion to come to, I say! :))
And with that the search began! 🙂
There were so many fab choices out there, Marks and Spencer and Zara being two of my favorites, I had to really research to make sure I made the right choice.
In the end it came down to two, and as cute as the Zara coat was I just had to get the Topshop one and the texture was what made my mind up! There were both great value for money and cute as a button, but the texture Topshop added gave their coat the upper hand in my opinion.
To complete the look I have chosen to become an unofficial Dahlia Girlfriend 🙂 and paired their fabulous Jessica White Cold Shoulder Blouse With Floral Crochet Collar with the most beautiful floral Pinafore ever :), Evie Rose Print Pinafore Dress With V Neck, which happens to be on SALE now – wink wink! 🙂
As I absolutely love this outfit, I dared to enter the A/W’13 OUTERWEAR COMPETITION on Asos Fashion Finder 🙂 and as I am new at this, I would really appreciate every vote I can get, so if you would be so kind as to want to vote for me, this is the link: http://fashionfinder.asos.com/womens-looks/let-there-be-pink-108794 – Thank you kindly! 🙂
Thank you again for visiting my little blog 🙂 and, as always, I would love to hear from you about anything and everything! 🙂
I love hats and absolutely adore cats! Logs just happened to be there! 🙂
Seriously now, it is October and despite the gorgeous days we’ve been having, Autumn is in the air!
And there’s nothing like Autumn’s colors!
Also, Autumn is the perfect excuse for reclaiming your coats, start layering and indulging in treats. I mean, you have to keep warm and nobody can expect you to have a tea without a side of biscuit, right? 🙂
Every wardrobe should have a duffle coat! You can dress it up or throw it on for a run to the supermarket and it will always look chic regardless of the outfit you pair it with.
I’ve loved this dress ever since I’ve seen a similar one on lovely Liv from What Olivia Did; the high waste, the shirt collar and the geometric, tile print come together beautifully to flatter figures like my own, that are far from a perfect 6 or 8.
I would nearly buy anything that has a cat on :), but these Asos tights are an absolute delight and can’t seem to get enough of them at the moment, so will be seeing them in quite a few posts! 🙂
My love of fashion goes back to my teens, but it is only in the last few years I have began to explore my style. I wouldn’t be able to say I tick a certain box when it comes to clothes as I love to keep an open mind to anything old or new, and I see an exciting challenge in most everything! 🙂
Beginning of this year I had a thought of challenging myself in coming up with an exciting outfit every single day and I wanted witnesses in my endeavor :)… this is how I first got introduced to fashion blogs! Now I know they have been out there for a while but to me they were a revelation! 🙂 I was amazed at how many kindred spirits there were out there and began to frivolously find my absolute favorites, which I shall lovingly document in an upcoming post.
Quite quickly I have, as any sane person would, given up my ambition of having a revolutionary outfit 365 days a year :), but the desire to share my favorite fashion creations only grew stronger and it has finally materialized in the form of this little blog!
Obviously, I’m a beginner and don’t particularly know what I’m doing really :), but I’m determined to enjoy the ride so feel free to join in or come back in an year to be blown away by my amazing blogging skills! :)))
My first post is dedicated to possibly the cutest shoes in the world and the best color I know! 🙂
We have had a gorgeous summer this year and I wish I had started this blog sooner, but things being what they are and lovely weather sort of holding it’s ground for a little longer :), I have decided to take a few pictures of one of my favorite summery outfits.
Stunning North Yorkshire views always stealing the spotlight! 🙂
I have on a little white dress from New Look, actually called the Parisian Dress :), with stunning little embroidered flowers going through it, perfect for a multitude of occasions.
I chose to style this delicate dress with a Zara blazer in Mint Green, Mango bag and these ‘sweet enough to be eaten’ ModCloth Mint Green Brogues :).
I love the texture of this Zara Blazer! I bought it last year but only came out to see the light of day at the end of this summer. It’s a shame I have to wait nearly six months before I can use it again, but once April comes around again, I know this will be one of my favorite summer pieces.
To finish off the look I have chosen these gorgeous embellished Urban Outfitters Sunglasses, which I will use every chance I get, no matter the season! :)))
I would love to here your thoughts on Mint Green, your favorite color or anything you might like to share after reading this, so please feel free to join in the fun! 🙂
