I don’t know if this is still ‘trendy’ πŸ™‚ , but my mother in law still gets us vouchers for Christmas, and I usually put them to good use and get my make up essentials, but this year, since I’ve discovered Homesense, I’ve decided to do a bit of a sales haul! πŸ™‚Β

So, armed with my Β£50 vouchers (thank you Michelle and Dennis! :)), I got myself to HomesenseΒ with mostly candles on my mind as most Winter scents are generally on sale even though we have more than 2 months of Winter once Christmas is gone! Not that I’m complaining, mind you! πŸ™‚

My first stop were the candle isles and the first candle I picked up was this little Christmas one (already burned one, and loved it! :)). I love the metallics/gold trend and the Falalalala gold print made it impossible for me not to succumb to a bit of Christmas sales shopping, especially knowing the scent is so fresh and festive and that originally, I have paid a lot more than Β£3! πŸ™‚

One scent I can never resist (apart from ‘grapefruit’, which is my all-time fav! random I know! :)) is fresh lime/lemon based scent, so this little cutie went straight into my basket at only Β£5.99, which wasn’t a sales price, but was worth it none the less!

Rest of my candle loot seems to be ‘birch’ based! πŸ™‚ It’s a really fresh, wintery scent to me, with just enough sweetness to it as to not make it sickly! They were only Β£3 each, and the jars are quite pretty so I’m sure I will be using them after the candles have burnt out!

I resisted buying any mugs (only because I have my eyes on 3 from Dunelm :)), but have picked up this vase, obviously convinced by the little gold polka dot design, and at Β£8 I thought it would be a good investment, especially since it seems I can’t stop buying fake flowers at the moment! πŸ™‚

This vintage vibe tin box could potentially be a bit difficult to use due to its vertical orientation (pasta?) but the adorable pattern and Β£3 price tag would not be denied! πŸ™‚

These 2 little pink heart shaped Le Creuset ramekins weren’t on sale as such, but having tried baked brie with honey and pink pepper on a French baguette recently, and with Valentine’s Day around the corner, I just could not resist! πŸ™‚ After all, I actually need something like that, it wasn’t just the pink heart shape and the Β£6.99 price tag, not hoarding, I promise! πŸ™‚

To use all my vouchers, I have added a foundation brush to my basket, as well as a new wooden spoon (as I’m planning to do more cooking on the blog and want the photos to look presentable as I do! :)) and a back brush – sorry if the term is not exactly correct, can’t think of what you call it! πŸ™‚

So, I had my loot and was in budget, heading happily to the till, when this throw caught my eye and made me stop in my tracks! πŸ™‚Β It’s stunning, cream/off white with gold inserts and loose long tassels, much like this AnthropologieΒ beauty! πŸ™‚ And, while Anthropologie is to me what Hamleys is to kids at Christmas, I can’t always afford the price tag! At Β£21, discounted from Β£39, I just had to reach for my spare cash and couldn’t be happier I did as it goes perfectly with my Anthropologie sales scatters! πŸ™‚

That’s it! πŸ™‚ Hope this gives you some ideas for your home and if you do happen to pay Homesense a visit and get a loot or just a gorgeous item for your home, please tag me in, would love to see your finds! πŸ™‚

Have a great Sunday and an amazing week ahead! πŸ™‚

Until we meet again,

All my love,

D
